How do companies master the balancing act between stability and speed on their journey to the cloud? – A Recap of the DSAG Annual Conference 2025
With around 5,500 participants, the most important gathering of SAP user companies in the DACH region once again attracted a strong audience from September 16–18. Under the motto “The Art of Balance”, three key topics took center stage in Bremen:
1. Cloud Transformation: Between promises of innovation and implementation challenges
SAP’s strategic focus is on the Public Cloud. However, according to the DSAG Investment Report, reality remains hybrid: 51% of surveyed companies still use the legacy SAP ERP, 42% S/4HANA On-Premises, 33% the Private Cloud, and only 13% the Public Cloud.

2. Artificial Intelligence: Expanding use cases at full speed
- 48% of companies see significant benefits from AI in the SAP portfolio
- 45% already factor AI into their investment decisions
- AI is a key driver of cloud transformation
3. Cybersecurity: A necessity, not an option
- For 92% of respondents, security is the top priority

Our takeaway:
The tone was less confrontational than in previous years: the direction is right, and companies are on board. However, while SAP is pushing for speed, many customers still place great value on planning reliability, freedom of choice, and fair conditions to ensure successful transformation.
