Review: Helasoft at the TAC Insights SAP for EHS & Product Compliance Conference in Amsterdam

Helasoft attended the TAC Insights SAP for EHS & Product Compliance Conference in Amsterdam this week. Here are some of the key highlights and takeaways from the sessions and discussions:
Breaking news: PC Classic Support Extended Until 2031
Full support for PC Classic functionality has been extended, with the final release now scheduled for 2031.
Good to know: SAP S/4HANA 2025 Feature Pack 2 already brings important new capabilities, including support for distirbuted system landscapes and integration in logistics with handling units.
Product Compliance "New" — A Genuinely New Approach
Be aware: Product Compliance “New” really means new — it’s not just a different data model, but also comes with new integrated processes. Excitingly, the chemical approval workflow is now available within SAP EHS and highly integrated into Product Compliance via the shared compliance view object, something we previously had to custom-build is now standard, though both modules are required.
Hybrid Approaches: Bridging Classic and New
Particularly interesting of course were the concrete experiences shared by customers. We saw many hybrid approaches to leverage new Product Compliance capabilities while bridging the gap to the classic world, e.g., custom private cloud setups, hybrid adapter, or the PC Sync tool. One example for using PC Sync was presented by FUCHS Group, where we at Helasoft are supporting as an S/4HANA implementation partner. Tatjana Putz and Solveig Scholl together with Ralf Coenning provided a clear insight into this scenario.
AI was, unsurprisingly, also a key topic at the conference. Especially noteworthy were SAP’s new approaches around data quality agents, helping organizations answer critical questions such as: Is my data ready — and is it sufficient for use cases like Product Carbon Footprint?
