Review DSAG Working Group EHS and Product Compliance

Last Tuesday, the DSAG Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) & Product Compliance Working Group met in Walldorf. The focus was on current developments related to SAP EHS & Product Compliance, as well as an open exchange between SAP, customer companies, and partners.
A few highlights from the event:
SAP continues to consistently pursue its public cloud strategy: New features and functional enhancements are first made available there and only transferred to the private cloud once processes are fully and stably mapped.
Significant progress is evident in the support of complex and distributed system landscapes — a key issue for many of our EHS and Product Compliance customers.
An important signal for existing customers: Full support for PC Classic functionality has been extended, with the final version now scheduled for 2031. This provides additional planning flexibility for transformation strategies and hybrid target architectures.
Good to know: SAP S/4HANA 2025 Feature Pack 2 already includes significant enhancements, including support for distributed system landscapes and expanded integration capabilities in logistics with handling units.
It also became clear that specific compliance requirements and industry-specific features will be specifically supplemented in the future by consulting and partner solutions. This creates additional room for tailored extensions that meaningfully complement the SAP standard.
In addition, the Customer Influence Portal is being further strengthened and is now also available to private cloud customers—a powerful tool for incorporating specific requirements into SAP’s ongoing development in a structured manner.
