Global Label Management

Global Label Management

For you, as a producer of chemical or pharmaceutical products with customers all over the world, the module SAP Global Label Management will help you to always create legally compliant labels.

For the labeling of your products you have to provide information according to different regional legal requirements and in various languages. HELASOFT is your partner to implement the fully integrated SAP Global Label Management (GLM) into your existing system landscape and to support you with our expertise to stay up to date in legal requirements and fulfill your customer specific needs.

GLM uses your EH&S specification database and material master data as well as other data sources within your SAP system. The label template design is also done within SAP using the “Windows Wordprocessor Integration” (WWI) technique – a modified Microsoft Word integrated into SAP. Label management in SAP EH&S can be done in the same way as for Safety data sheets (SDS) and could even be synchronized to the release of SDS. The determination of the correct label template can be automated in different ways (e.g. Label view in Material master). The label printing can be triggered automatically by different processes (Delivery, Make to Stock, Make to Order, Goods receipt etc.) or be started manually. You can edit and print the labels at every site/plant of your company by using WWI generation server or Label Print Server with database of finished labels. Labels can be printed on various printers (normal laser printers and special label printers for high volume printing) of different locations on paper or stickers or as PDF for external label print providers from anywhere within the company.

The main features and benefits that Global Label Management (GLM) provides for you:

  • GLM is the fully integrated SAP labeling solution as part of the EH&S: from label template layout to final label printing
  • It can be used for various types of labels: GHS, non-hazardous, transportation, barcode labels etc. for primary packaging and overpack in different sizes
